Look no further for your dream linen dress, Mesop has you covered. The Mae Dress is understated luxury in every way. The cut, the fabric, the subtle stripe, the ties on the sleeves - this is the perfect trans-seasonal dress as we move into Autumn.
I had lots of fun styling this dress because it is my style to tee. I added black accents to ground the whimsical, coastal vibe and injected a little fun with a baker boy hat. The double banded slides keep the look from verging into "costumey" territory which can happen easily when a hat is involved. I choose simple black round frames to avoid clashing with the hat and the textured straw clutch is just enough extra detail for the overall look.
So, why do I love this dress so much? Well, for a start linen is my number one fabric choice time and time again - it stands the test of time and no matter the occasion and elevates a look instantly. The details are divine, something as simple as a deep v cut with a slight give which allows for a relaxed fold around the decolletage means the difference between standard and special. The raised side seams are the most flattering shape for the legs and is always a winning shape in my books. I am 100% for natural fibres and of course, stripes are classic no matter what is on trend and finally, blues suit just about everybody!
