Last night, along with 180 Degree Marketing, I hosted a night out for a group of Canberra's Fashion Bloggers at The Terrace at The Duxton O'Connor. The idea behind the event was to get a bunch of local Influencers together to kick off the year in style, mingle and get to know one another better. With some many amazing businesses and venues spread throughout our region, this event was an opportunity to experience one such place and immerse ourselves in some of the beautiful spaces right on our door step. It was a great night of shared plates, cocktails and positive wishes for the year ahead as we soaked up the amazing vibe that is The Terrace at The Duxton.
The Space
The Duxton offers A LOT all in the one venue with the main bar downstairs leading up to The Loft, a more intimate cocktail bar, which then opens out on to The Terrace - a beautiful space with a retractable roof which offers lounges and individual tables srt amoung beautiful greenery. The space feels a million miles from anywhere; tropical, fresh, relaxing oh and totally instagramable. Off The Terrace is a larger functions room ideal for weddings and private bookings, with a bar, rustic furniture and a beautifully lit roof (again, totally instagramable! ha). If you are after a beautiful space which can be styled to perfection or left as is in all of its rustic charm, this is the space for you!

The Cocktails
The cocktails on offer are all delicious and we were lucky enough to try three different pitchers which are perfect for a large group. We sampled the "Watermelon Mojito" which had a sublime fresh flavour, then the "Tigerlily" which is a delicious blend with lychee & lime working together in a way I would have never imagined and we finished up with the Georgian Ice Tea which has a bit more bite but was beautifully balanced and refreshing. They were all winners, tick, tick, tick from everyone of us.

The Food
Look no further than the beautiful cheese platters, with a selection of both local and imported cheeses or try the match made in heaven combination of the pan fried haloumi sprinkled with pomegranate. YUMMM. The Kingfish Cerviche with prawn crackers was a big winner and the pizzas were all perfection. There are small shared plates available as well as larger meals, so whatever you are after and no matter the size of your group, there is something for everyone.

The Vibe
A night out at The Terrace is a place to switch off with your favourite people, absorb the surroundings, relax and enjoy a cocktail after a big week at work. The space is conducive to all things chill and you will not find a more removed from the norm place to kick back with your friends!
