Nothing sums up my ideal style more than "coastal casual". Frayed denim, a knit beanie, linen tee, boyfriend jeans, sneakers or better yet, no shoes at all...these things make me feel the most like myself. I love being comfortable, free and relaxed. Over the weekend I raced down the coast after attending a masterclass event at the Canberra Centre with Gritty Pretty founder Eleanor Pendleton. While the champagne bar after this event was calling, the coast was calling too and I quickly got changed then hit the road. I wanted to spend my last two days of the school holidays taking my son down the coast and I am so glad I did.
Arriving at the coast is one of my favourite feelings, stepping into our place down there feels like coming home and I am so grateful to have the option of getting away whenever I feel the need to get away from it all. The older I get the stronger my ties become to things from my own childhood and watching my son play in the house I spent my Summer childhoods in is so magic. The view never gets old and whenever I feel like I am losing touch with myself or when things feel disconnected, I know a day or two down here fixes everything.

Sunday was absolutely gorgeous and we spent the afternoon at the beach watching the sunset. I borrowed my sisters denim jacket with the embroidered roses which I am completely obsessed with. I added some sneakers, rolled cuff skinny jeans, reflective aviators and basic knit top.
