Exploring The New Canberra Centre Beauty Precinct

Last week the Canberra Center unveiled its brand new beauty and wellness precinct, which houses brands such as Mecca Maxima, The Floral Society, Inglot and many more. The fit-out and styling is absolutely divine! If you haven't had the chance yet, I recommend you check it out as soon as you can! Be prepared to be visually inspired, refreshed and excited to update your beauty cupboards after a quick stroll through this beautiful space.

I was lucky enough to attend the Minimalist Beauty Masterclass with Gritty Pretty founder Eleanor Pendleton who is every bit as beautiful, inspiring and lovely in person as she is online. We were shown a glowy, simple day makeup as well as a night look while Eleanor answered some questions about her business, background and beauty philosophy. I was incredibly inspired by her down to earth nature, her warmth and her openness. Meeting her at the end was the highlight of the day for me - she has been an inspiration to me for a long time so it was great to have a quick chat with her after the masterclass.

Before the event, I met up with some other local bloggers and we had so much fun taking photos, making fun of ourselves and being generally ridiculous. If you don't follow these girls, get on it! Steph from The Nameless Blog, Najima from Dusk Avenue and Gen from This Is Genevive - they are all completely different but equally kind, supportive and inspiring. I adore being surrounded by girls like this who encourage one another, don't take anything too seriously and who have similar business goals and creative passions as me.

I wore something a little different to this event - I've been dying to wear these boots for a while and found this hat among my 2 or 3 dozen others (some girls love bags, some girls love shoes, well I have a thing for hat.. what can I say hah). This outfit was perfect for this super cold day but fun vibe of the morning masterclass. These lace detail shorts are long time favourites and this top is from Zara, gifted to me by my sister. The high neck worked perfectly to counteract the short shorts. I added this chain bag from MNG, crystal ring from Spell Designs and ASOS coat to keep me from freezing to death. It was a -7 weekend!

After the masterclass I rushed home, got changed, jumped in the car and hit the highway for a quick trip down the coast (What I Wore Post coming soon!). The weekend away was perfect and left me feeling ready to get stuck back into work, excited to meet a bunch of new styling clients over the next few weeks and spend some more time at my desk after the school holiday break.

Second half of 2017, bring it on x
