Earlier this week I had the pleasure of attending 'Now Showing at A Flick Of Hares' - a special event showcasing some incredibly talented local creatives displaying their works in one big, beautiful space. Being surrounded by women with big dreams and creative passion is such a great feeling, it not only inspires me with my own creativity but it also just makes my heart sing seeing people doing what they love.
The room was set up beautifully, with pretty (and ridiculously tasty) treats from Lulu & Sis, gorgeous clothing and accessories from One Hunted, beautiful jewellery from Wink Jewellery and a large table layered with tasting plates. We were treated to some tunes from Vendulka and a runway show featuring a curated range of pieces from One Hunted and The Label.
The room was filled with talented local business women, and the supportive community vibe was incredibly uplifting. It is so exciting to see the local fashion industry going from strength to strength and this continual success proves the power of collaboration, networking and believing in one another.
I picked up a few little things on the night which I am looking forward to rocking this weekend on my mini coast getaway - post to come - but on the night I kept things more dark and less beach chic.
The call of the night for me was monochrome ease, wearing head to toe black. I went for leather shorts and a silk cross over top with lace up sandals. I added the super dark berry lip at the last minute and grabbed my favourite vintage clutch.
