The Weekly Update

What a week it has been - an exciting work opportunity announcement, recovering from 3 nights covering all the runway action at Fashfest, my second round of Olaplex, a brow transformation with Cobalt Canberra and finishing off with a little time out in the country for a friends wedding.

Earlier this week I announced my new role contributing to Big Ink Magazine. I am so excited to work with the talented team at Big Ink, nothing inspires me more than beautiful imagery, creative collaboration, interesting, articulate writing and the expression of fresh ideas - everything I believe is encapsulated in the Big Ink publication. You can read my introduction for Big Ink here. Stay tuned for my upcoming features over the next few months and if you haven't yet, subscribe to the publication - it's a beautiful magazine which supports local and national businesses and fellow creatives.

Wrapping 3 nights sitting front row at Fashfest and writing nightly reviews of the shows for Out In Canberra was a whole lot of fun but definitely took it out of me. I spent the start of this week relaxing and getting back to normality. This morning I came home to a gorgeous bunch ofThe Floral Society blooms from my editor at Out In Canberra as a special thank you. This little surprise absolutely made my week! It also worked wonders for my hangover following the wedding last night...speaking of, what a fun evening it was.

Being time poor this week I left my wedding outfit until the last minute, deciding to raid the racks at Urbn Gray - Canberra's newest dress hire business. I had a good idea of what I wanted and what was on offer having styled a shoot with Urbn Gray last week - click here to check out the shoot. I decided to go with a gorgeous Bec & Bridge dress for the night.

The wedding had a friendly, country, low-key vibe with an outdoor and indoor set up. There were hay bails, eucalyptus leaves, white table clothes and lots of lights. It was nice to get away and be surrounded by hills, big skies and countryside.

I had the pleasure of meeting the eyebrow master, Lahnne, from Cobalt Canberra on Friday morning to get my brows feathered. My transformation blog post is coming soon so keep you eye out for all the details on the procedure, before and afters and the end result. Working with local business women is such an incredible feeling, I have met some beautiful, humble, talented and down to earth women over the last few months through my beauty features and have gained some amazing friends. Supporting local businesses is so important, I believe in signing the praises of anyone with skill, talent, guts and passion - starting a business or exploring a creative venture is a ballsy move and I have so much respect for anyone brave enough to put themselves out there.

I hope you all had a great week as Spring finally starts to take hold, the days warm up and inspiration fills the air again after a cold and rainy Winter. Time to get away from my computer, get outside and enjoy this beautiful Sunday x
